Due to harsh outdoor weather conditions, one customer requested additional reinforcement for their external side panels

While working at Gillig, one customer came back to us with a problem that they were experiencing during the winter skiing months. Snow was building up in the wheelwells and causing the side external panels to bulge out.
Working on this project, I started with calling the field service rep in order to figure the full extent of the problem.
This design had many design constraints due to the desire to keep the external appearance of the bus the same.
This project however gave me a lot of experience in working with the customer and production line as I directed the fabrication and assembly of the new design as we sent it out to the consumer.
