Career Fair Automation: Project

Project Riviera was created in response to a need to streamline the way career fairs were run, both during the fair and for all the recruiters after the event is over. This device design was apart of a three part system which integrated with an online web server as well as our tablet recruiter app.

Career Fair Automation: Our Services

Riviera worked as a complete system, starting with the student bringing their resume to a sign in station. Using the login app, a student will enter their information as well as take a photo of their resume. Upon completion, the dispenser will dispense a programmed card that contains the students information. This is all the student will need to bring with them to the event.

Going up to a recruiter, the student would simply need to present their card to the recruiter and the recruiter would scan them in. Instantly all the students information is brought up for the recruiter. The recruiter can now quickly grade the student based on their conversation by quickly checking off predetermined categories determined by the interviewer.

Once the fair is over, the recruiter now has a streamlined digital archive of potential candidates organized and graded by the categories that he or she wants.

To build our device, a 3D model was designed and printed to house all the electronic components. The electronics included an nfc writer, bluetooth module, LCD screen and a microcontroller. The enclosure was designed so that the components would mount where they were required to be at and stay in place.
