Isolated Coolant Loop
With the goal of creating a new isolated coolant network system for the bus separating the engine and heater loops, a new design was modeled, built and testing in the R&D shop.
Isolated Coolant Loop: Project
The goal of this project was to separate the engine coolant loop from the passenger compartment coolant loop.
I modeled this in inventor to see how all the parts would line up within the existing design.
The desire was to have this design fit within the current bus design and also be able to be retrofitted on older bus models already out in the field.
After modelling out the design layout, we tested the design out on the bus. It was important to me mindful of the pump locations and orientations so that the flow rates and pressure were sufficient and not over exerting the pumps.
